BHAVESH ZALA
VIBRANT PAST - CELEBRATING EVERYDAY - NATURE - LANDSCAPE

Bhavesh Zala is one of India's leading contemporary watercolor artists, renowned for his mastery of the traditional wash technique and his ability to transform everyday landscapes into deeply evocative works of art.

Born in 1972, he studied at Bhavnagar University before training under renowned artist Khodidas Parmar, specializing in the traditional watercolor wash technique.

Guided by his belief that light is the soul of painting, Zala's work explores the relationship between light, shadow, and transparency. Through the wash technique, he seeks to simplify complex scenes while preserving their character and emotional depth.

His work has received national and international recognition, including the Silver Award – Colorful Asia from the International Masters of Watercolour Alliance (IMWA), the Diploma of Jury Award at the World Watercolour Biennale CASTRA 2015, Slovenia, and the Outstanding Watercolour Award from the BoldBrush International Art Contest, USA. Zala has exhibited widely in India and internationally and has conducted workshops, demonstrations, and lectures at leading art institutions across India. His works are held in private collections in India and abroad.
